The metallurgical engineering program, which focuses on physical, mechanical, and process metallurgy, ferrous and nonferrous, allows students to pursue study in metal working, oxidation and hot corrosion, erosion-corrosion phase transformations and thermomechanical processing of steels. A special initiative that will lead to professional master's degree in Engineering is also being developed for the area of ferrous physical metallurgy. See also Materials and Engineering.
