The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering is composed of faculty who conduct research in a variety of areas including biotechnology, catalysis, petroleum engineering, materials engineering, multi-scale modeling, energy and environment, and process systems engineering. Excellent laboratory facilities are available, and research expenditures per faculty are greater than most other chemical engineering departments in the country.
