The Department of Behavioral and Community Health Sciences and the Center for Minority Health have created this innovative certificate that addresses the systemic root causes of health disparities and trains students in appropriate interventions. This certificate provides students with an academic foundation for eliminating racial and ethnic disparities through conducting community based interventions, mobilizing communities where disparities exist, advocating for healthy public policy and for culturally tailoring interventions that are appropriate to minority populations.
