The Department of Communication Science and Disorders offers a doctor of clinical science (CScD) in Speech-Language Pathology which provides students with advanced specialized academic education and clinical expertise in the nature, diagnosis and management of medical voice, speech, language and cognitive disorders and swallowing. Students entering the program following a bachelor's degree and completing the CScD curriculum will also earn an MA degree in speech-language pathology whose curriculum exceeds the academic and clinical standards established by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association for certification and licensure (in most states). For MA/MS and PhD options, see Communication Science and Disorders.
