This department prepares students for careers as administrators in educational organizations at all levels, including both K-12 and higher education. The mission of the Department of Administrative and Policy Studies is to prepare educational leaders, advance professional knowledge, and improve the research and practice of educational administrators and policymakers. Administrative studies contribute to the development of knowledge and skills essential to the effective administration and management of educational organizations in regional, national and international context. Policy studies focus on the decisions, plans, courses of action, and outcomes that occur as administrators and policymakers seek to achieve educational objectives.
